ANT discusses scholar transportation, taxi and chartering
The ANT – National Association of Public Transportation – keeps permanent commissions, which discuss many modalities of public transportation, to create and proliferate manuals about the transportation throughout the country.
ANT is national reference on plans and manuals like Collective Transportation of Passengers and Taxi, since 2.000. It also exists the Permanent Commission of Taxi, Scholar transportation and Chartering. At the last meeting on April 19th, 2005 was chose the new Coordination of the Commission respective of EPT – Santo André Public Company of Transportation – Director of Transportation is the architect Andréa A. Brisida Aquiles do Prado, the secretary of this commission respective of ARTESP- Transportation Agency of São Paulo – Mr. Rui Stefanelli. It was suggested the creation of subdivisions of the commission to speed up the discuss process about Taxi, Chartering and Scholar Transportation and when the subjects be the same they call the subdivisions.
In the meeting there were representatives of many entities as, Eduardo Facchini from SPTRANS, Rui Stefanelli from ARTESP, Donay Neto from FENATRESC, Andrea B. A. do Prado and Cícero M. Ramos from EPT of Santo André as José Carlos G. Pereira Filho from URBS- Curitiba. Fenatresc through his representative on this commission purposes to coordinate the subdivision of Scholar Transportation.
The object target is to define through a concept manual, preceding and taxes plans to scholar transportation, which all City Halls can use them.
The next meeting is on May 20, 2.005 when we expect to count with more representatives of other city halls. It will be realized on the seat of ANTP, Alameda Santos Street, 1.000, 7ºfloor, São Paulo, at 9:00 o’clock. We ask the Syndicates of our category to do, in name of Fenatresc, invite the representatives of the Transportation Department to be in this meeting.
